I would like to share an amazing story with you. Dr. Joy Tica reported this miracle to the IWM Board. I hope it will inspire you and show you how your donations make a difference.
Dr. Joy Tica Reports a Miracle in Romblon, Philippines
From April 15 to 21, 2024, Dr. Joy Tica and her HEMMI medical team went on a 3-day medical mission to San Fernando, Romblon. The journey was quite challenging, taking a total of 20 hours, with 15 hours by boat and 5 hours by land to get there. They were invited by Pastor Michael Macato, and after preparing the team and the medications, they set off on their journey.
During their stay, Dr. Joy and the team were accommodated and provided with food by the church. After 5 days, Pastor Mercado informed Dr. Joy that he couldn’t raise the 16,000 pesos (approximately $275) needed to pay for their accommodations. The church didn’t have the funds, and Dr. Joy also didn’t have the money. She had $500 in her bag, but that was budgeted for the team’s travel fare back home. Faced with this situation, Dr. Joy didn’t panic; instead, she prayed. She firmly believes in the Great Provider and was confident that He knows her need. She prayed for a miracle, even though she didn’t know how it would happen.
The next morning, just before they were about to check out of the hotel, Dr. Joy received a text message from IWM’s founder, Autumn Nims, stating that IWM had just sent 22,000 pesos to her! This unexpected donation was a miracle and a blessing for Dr. Joy and the HEMMI team. With this assistance, they were able to settle the bill for their accommodations and safely return home, feeling grateful and amazed by the intervention of the Great Provider and Faithful Father for this miracle.
