Dear IWM Donors and Supporters,

It has been a privilege to pray with you. We have one more week to go. I genuinely believe that this fast, more than any other I have undertaken, has been ordained by God as preparation for what lies ahead. While today marks the inauguration of a new president, I believe this fast signals the ushering in of a new season—a transition, a repositioning of God’s people to respond to the challenging call to push back against Satan, deception, and darkness in the world.

The mission of this fast is to become vessels that God can use. We must experience His glory, cultivate a hunger for His presence, and walk closely with Him to be filled with His presence. Our cup must be full to overflowing, attracting those who don’t know Him.

Oh, to glow with His presence as Moses did! When Moses spent time with God and was filled with His glory, he radiated the overflow of that experience. The following scripture illustrates how Moses conveyed powerful messages from God to the people:

29 When Moses came down Mount Sinai carrying the two stone tablets inscribed with the terms of the covenant, he wasn’t aware that his face had become radiant because he had spoken to the Lord. 30 So when Aaron and the people of Israel saw the radiance of Moses’ face, they were afraid to come near him.

31 But Moses called out to them and asked Aaron and all the leaders of the community to come over, and he talked with them. 32 Then all the people of Israel approached him, and Moses gave them all the instructions the Lord had given him on Mount Sinai. 33 When Moses finished speaking with them, he covered his face with a veil. 34 But whenever he went into the Tent of Meeting to speak with the Lord, he would remove the veil until he came out again. Then he would give the people whatever instructions the Lord had given him, 35 and the people of Israel would see the radiant glow of his face. So he would put the veil over his face until he returned to speak with the Lord.” – Exodus 34:29-35

Moses’ face radiated the presence of the Lord. His visage reflected who he spent time with, and his message and overflow served to strengthen the people. WOW! That should pierce your heart! We can only fulfill what God calls us to do through His power and presence—there is no other way!

I long to be used by the Lord and to answer His call with His power shining brightly through me! May our faces reflect the presence of the Lord to such an extent that people cannot help but realize we do not walk in our own strength but in the power and anointing of the Holy God of the universe. He is King! He is Lord, and He is worthy of all our attention and praise!

Prayer: Lord, I ask that you use me for your glory. I lay down my life and embrace your call to go to the ends of the earth to preach, teach, and share the good news of Jesus Christ. I surrender my life to you, dedicating my time and attention to drawing closer to you, spending time with you, and seeking your agenda rather than my own. Please help me, Lord, to fulfill the Great Commission through IWM or wherever you have placed me. I want to go into all the world and make disciples, teaching them to obey you in all things and baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit! In Jesus Name! Amen!
