Did you know that intercessory prayer is a way to refresh others? I have been sensing in my spirit lately that this has been a season of heaviness for some. Many are carrying burdens and need for intercessors to call on the name of the Lord for themI can’t help but think that when we pray for someone, we are refreshing weary souls. It is a great honor for me to be able to bear the burdens of others through prayer. God has shown me recently how effective my prayers have become through the validation of the testimonies of others.
I truly believe we are in a season where God will prove himself faithful as we call on Him for the body of Christ. Just like Joseph we will be able to say, “What [the enemy] has meant for my harm, the Lord has used for good” (Genesis 50:20).
Releasing our prayers to the heavenly places brings about change. It stirs the atmosphere. It causes a domino effect in the spiritual realm. Things begin to move, hearts are changed, lives are encouraged, but for no other reason than we have called on King of Kings.
Prayer can seem drab and boring. Prayer can seem time consuming. Prayer seems slow to change anything!
Your prayers are making a difference more than you realize!
“And when he had taken it, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each one had a harp and they were holding golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of God’s people.” (Revelations 5:8)
I am imagining that my prayers are in those golden bowls being poured out before the throne. The thought that my prayers are an incense to the Lord is a beautiful thing to grasp!
God is about to breakthrough in areas where there has been little movement.
God is challenging us to activate the gift of intercession. An activation that brings healing to the sick, brings more laborers into the harvest, raises up leaders and causes revival to breakout!
Let’s expect that our prayers will refresh and encourage others and at the same time, refresh us! Let’s expect that our prayers are bringing about God’s plan day by day, prayer by prayer! AMEN!
